Development and application of high-grade diamond tools

The West Science and Technology Department issued the research task of developing laser-welded ultra-thin diamond drill bits, diamond wire saws, and diamond Grinding wheels for glass processing.

Key technologies and innovations are:

4. Develop technology for laser-welded thin-walled drill bits such as volumetric drill cold press. The positioning tool design of multi-station, single-tooth, continuous tooth and so on is original in China.

5. Develop high-grade diamond glass Grinding Wheel manufacturing technology.

6, the successful use of domestic medium-grain high-strength synthetic diamond to prepare high-end Cutting Tools.

The technical and economic indicators of wire saws, thin-walled drill bits and glass edging wheels developed by the project are at the domestic leading level. Among them, the production technology and product comprehensive index of wire saw have reached the international advanced level, laser welded thin-wall Diamond Drill Bit. The welding strength between the drill tooth and the steel body exceeds the German standard (DEA). The products have been widely used in China and entered the international market with obvious economic and social benefits.

The implementation of the project solved the major technical problems of manufacturing high-grade Diamond Tools with domestic high-strength diamonds, and formed high-grade diamond products with independent intellectual property rights. Three industrial production lines of wire saws, grinding wheels and laser welding tools have been formed. The cumulative production value is more than 50 million yuan, profits and taxes more than 10.5 million yuan, and foreign exchange earning more than 500,000 US dollars. Breaking the monopoly of developed countries in Europe and the United States on the international professional market of high-end diamond tools will promote China's diamond-producing countries to move toward a strong country.
